Attending the Tellis Educational Services program has been one of the most rewarding decisions that I have made thus far. Because the educational curriculum is focused on adults, the fitting time for coursework and study time throughout the week was not as tedious as a traditional high school.
During the process, I could always count on Dr. Tellis to encourage me to complete the goals that I had set for myself he also assisted me with any misunderstandings that occurred. When I made the decision to drop out of high school, my academic scores were declining however, I was very determined to graduate with a much better (GPA) grade point average. As I completed assignments giving my best effort, my grades began to reflect my hard work. By the end of the program, my GPA had raised dramatically.
Following completing the program, I made the decision to further my education more at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University to pursue a degree in Business Management. During my transition into college, Dr. Tellis & Mr. Jiles was always there to motivate me, they motivated me to apply for different scholarships for financial assistance because of my accelerated grade point average, I was eligible for multiple scholarships which covered the majority of the costs for tuition as well as book fees.
Because of the mental stimulation and growth that I received throughout the eight-week program; I am now well-adjusted to my college courses. I am extremely grateful for this program. Obtaining my High School Diploma has helped to prepare me to move forward to the next chapter in life. I highly recommend this program to others regardless of your reasoning, receiving your High School Diploma is a very important milestone in life that everyone should be able to experience.
Hello, my name is Catherine Rich, and I'm a current student of Dr. Tellis. This year, I'll be 30 years old and I've truly put my education off far too long. I was expecting to graduate in May 2009, but I gave up on school in my 10th-grade year while fighting a case, and what felt like fighting life. Besides wanting to be proud of me, I'm also doing this to show my son, niece, and younger brother that education is important and it's never too late!
I spent a part of my 10th-grade year fighting to prove that I was a victim and eventually fell into a victim mentality. I felt as if I had to prove to so many that I could still be somebody and still succeed with little education and nobody to depend on but myself. Personally don't think I failed at proving myself at all, but life is a little harder without a diploma\degrees. There are plenty of
jobs and opportunities that passed me by due to the lack of a diploma. I won't say it's impossible to be successful without one, but be aware the road is tougher.
I'm here to achieve what I missed out on years ago. Trying to show others looking up to me or watching me that it's never too late. As long as you're willing, you can achieve anything with faith and passion. I'm here to show people there's no shame in trying again
When I decided that I was tried of not having options because I didn't have the education I needed to do better ,I spoke to God and asked him to led me in the right direction. Then I was looking on Facebook and seen a post about Dr.Tellis education services adult learning program and then I called him and enrolled in the program one of the best decision I ever made. I got in the program and Dr.Tellis made learning so easy and understandable so it was easy to learn and to finish the program. So now since I have my High school Diploma so many doors has opened up for me and I am truly grateful to Dr.Tellis and Staff.

Dr. Jonas Tellis is an well rounded individual. He's doing a lot to support his people that attend his academy. He's openly supportive to all his students, he welcome u with love and drive in making better decisions for goals you're making for yourself. He's diligently a superstar in my eye sight, he pushed me to the limit of understanding things more better than those thrown too me and not explained. His staff consist of Ms. Brittany Abner and Mr. Davis they all worked with their students to motivate us and achieve a goal we wanted for years now. One thing I'm grateful for is that they are willing to work with anyone that's attentive enough to follow their dreams, directions and discipline all at the same time. Also in you making better decisions on your growth and achievements. As I'm a mother of 4 that's grown and a Glam Ma(Grandma) of 14 I'm still here to obtain an goal that was set forth 30th years ago but as for today. I'm an graduate of Dr. Tellis Education Service's LLC. and I'll be attending Culinary School after I graduate. Thank you'll so much for allowing me to be apart of your growth in the City of Birmingham Alabama. Love always your Big Crybaby Ms. J.Turner
